Namobudda Itinerary
Day 1
A warm welcome upon arrival by our representative. Transfer to hotel at Kathmandu. Evening time is free.
Day 2
After breakfast at hotel, our representative will meet you and brief you about the day’s sightseeing plan. Today we will pay a visit to three UNESCO sites, Boudhanath, Pasupatinath and Bhaktapur city. Night at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 3
Check out from the hotel and we will drive towards the Dhulkhel. From Kavre Chowk, we will ride a mountain bike or hike towards the Namobudha resort. Check in at resort. Evening is your own.
Day 4
Today we will ride mountain bike / hike and will explore Namobudha monastery and ride towards the Old Newari town, Panauti. From Panauti we drive back to Kathmandu. Check in at hotel.
Day 5
After breakfast we will pay a visit to Kapan onastery and Nagi Gompa.
Day 6
We will explore Swayambhunath, and Patan city
Day 7
Airport drop for international flight.
For traveler with less time, Himilayan Destiny leads tours to the famous, but off the beaten track religious site of Namobudda. Situated in the hills just one hour ouside of Kathmandu, Namobuddha a holy site where the Buddha is thought to have sacrificed himself to a starving tigress and her cubs. There is a shrine there today as well as a large and active monistary. Guests will have the option to stop by Panouti, an ancient Newar UNESCO site, on the Punyamata River.
